The much anticipated release of Curtis Ohlson's new CD funk*tion-al reality has been received by many as a long overdue inspired follow up to his previous release "Better Than Ever".

When asked why it took so long to release funk*tion-al reality Curtis said "I always intended to record a third album, but I was so busy producing other Artists and touring with great Artists like Ray Charles that I kept putting my solo career on hold. When I found out that Ray Charles was gravely ill, I reflected on how fortunate I was to have worked with him, and I realized that I had written some pretty cool music while we were on the road together. I came to the conclusion that life is too short to wait any longer... so I decided to musically document the inspiration and challenges I experienced touring the World with The Ray Charles Orchestra. Therefore I respectfully dedicate my third album funk*tion-al reality to the memory of a great Soul and friend... Brother Ray Charles.

Ohlson's new CD funk*tion-al reality features Grammy Award Winners Marc Russo, and William Kennedy, Jazz legend Branford Marsalis on Soprano Sax, original Tower Of Power drummer David Garabaldi, World class Percussionist Peter Michael Escovedo, and Funk Guitar Great Ray Obiedo. funk*tion-al reality also features stellar lead vocal tracks from Oakland crooner Claytoven Richardson, the soulful & sensuous Scheherazade Stone, as well as gifted newcomer Jelani.
